The NAPE Education Foundation conducted research on the performance of the states in implementing the accountability measure in the Perkins Act for increasing the participation and completion of students in nontraditional training and employment programs. From the data collected by each state, the project has identified model programs and practices that have proven the ability to improve student performance. The project resulted in a publication titled Growing Pains: Developing the Perkins Accountability System for Students Pursuing Nontraditional Careers.
