Coaching for Educational Equity

Summary

Coaching for Educational Equity provides a framework for understanding the core competencies of effective coaching through an equity lens. This course is a continuation of NAPE’s Micromessaging to Reach and Teach Every Student™ training and encourages participants to deepen their understanding of how adopting an asset perspective, fostering trust and belonging, and engaging student and community voice nurture equitable learning environments. Participants will assess their current coaching practices and equity mindset, learn effective coaching and communication skills, and develop an action plan to support continuous improvement in support of their equity goals.

Target Audience

Secondary/Postsecondary teachers and faculty who will be in a coaching relationship with other teachers

Format

A multi-day professional learning experience including workshops, PLC sessions, and Action Research for Equity Projects
