Upcoming Presentations by NAPE Staff

NAPE is pleased to announce several upcoming presentations by NAPE staff in October and December.

On October 28, NAPE representatives will present three concurrent workshops on Implict Bias and Micromessaging during the White House Conference on Inclusive STEM Education for Youth of Color.

On October 31, Mimi Lufkin will speak on a Plenary Session on Implicit Bias and Systemic Inequities during the afternoon sesson of OCTAE’s National Advancing Equity in Adult, Community College, and Career and Technical Education Symposium.

On December 3, during the “STEM is CTE Symposium” directly following the VISION 2016 Conference in Las Vegas, Ben Williams will offer two breakout sessions, one focused on the use of the Program Improvement Process for Equity™ (PIPE) and the other introducing the NAPE Explore Nontraditional Careers Toolkit and the NAPE Micromessaging Cultural Framework as a critical mechanism for educators to identify and address how implicit biases create barriers to students’ success in STEM and nontraditional CTE. Learn more and sign up for this exciting program.

Ben will also provide an additional session on PIPE during the ACTE VISION 2016 Conference, and there will be a NAPE booth at the Exhibitor’s Fair. Please stop by to say hello! If you are interested in volunteering at the booth during the conference, please email Ben.
