GAP, PA, July 6, 2015 - The National Alliance for Partnerships in
Equity (NAPE) welcomed five members to its Executive Committee,
whose terms commenced on July 1, 2015. Elected by the NAPE Board
of Directors, these individuals will have the opportunity to shape
national policy and programs affecting the success of special
population students across the country.
"It's always exciting to welcome new members to the
Executive Committee," said Mimi Lufkin, NAPE Chief Executive
Officer. "Their unique backgrounds and insights will prove
to be invaluable as we continue to make positive changes for
special population students in career and technical education
nationwide."
NAPE welcomed the following members to its Executive Committee:

Cato, Career & Technical Education Program
Specialist for the Human Resources Career Learning Area,
Oregon Department of Education Office of Learning in the
Secondary Postsecondary Transitions Unit (3-year term)
Treasurer Karen
Showers, Education Director for Counseling and
Student Support for the Wisconsin Technical College System
(3-year term)
Member-at-Large Ruth
Durkee, Assistant Director for Adult Education at
the Randolph Technical Career Center, and adjunct faculty member
at Vermont Technical College and Castleton College (2-year term)
Member-at-Large Carolyn
Zachry, EdD, Education Administrator for the
Career Technical Education Administration and Management Office
in the Career and College Transition Division (CCTD) at the
California Department of Education (CDE) (2-year term)
Member-at-Large Adrian
San Miguel, Career Guidance and Transition
Coordinator, Division of Professional-Technical Education in
Boise, Idaho (2-year term)
They will join the current members of the NAPE Executive
Committee team:
