August 13 is Equal Pay Day for America’s Black women who work full-time

August 13 is Equal Pay Day for America’s Black women who work full-time. With more Black women graduating from colleges and universities at higher rates than men; and with more Black women pursuing higher paying jobs, Black women are still generally paid 62 cents on the dollar or 38 percent less money compared to white, non-Latinx men for the same job.  In fact, it takes more than 19 months for Black women to be paid what white, non-Latinx men were paid in 12 months.
